Me, me, me!!!!

Hello lovelies! If you are reading this and you are new to my site, WELCOME! And congratulations on having very good taste in websites. Truly, you must be a very clever and intelligent person. And quite good looking too. I can just tell. (Nice shoes!)

I promise this is a fun, cool place to hang, and if you keep coming back I will totally be your friend and *heart* you forever. Promise. Cause I am cool like that. Well, maybe I am cool mostly in my head. My kids roll their eyes a lot when I talk and they run in fear when I show my mad dance skilz and don’t even get me STARTED on my awesome singing voice. No one can belt out Livin’ On a Prayer like me. Srsly. So yeah, maybe I am just mostly cool in my head, but that TOTALLY COUNTS.

I draw and paint. Mostly dogs, but not always.

I am a children's book author and illustrator. After about 10 years eeking my way towards that goal, I am finally doing it full time. Sometimes I need to pinch myself when I realize that this is actually my life. I still sometimes look behind me to see the 'author' that a person next to me is talking about. I write and illustrate books for kids. Holy cow! THIS IS MY LIFE! I travel to schools all over the Unites States reading them my books, talking about my journey and encouraging them to follow their dreams - with everything they've got - no matter what! Because my life is magical, it truly is and every minute, even the doubting, painful ones were so worth it to get to here. And I want every person I know and meet to understand that this life is meant to be magical - and we all can have a magical life. You just have to have the courage to try.

Pictures have dropped out, but the writing will fill you in. A lot of those pain-filled moments are well documented on these pages. Trust me, this life took work. And sometimes lots of tears. Still.
